Rental Policies

Driver requirements

• A valid, unexpired driver's license must be presented at delivery
• The renter must be the person who paid for the reservation
• Only drivers approved by Northbound in writing may operate the vehicle
• Proof of insurance may be required before the keys are handed over

Delivery and return

Northbound Car Rentals offers vehicle delivery to Bozeman Yellowstone International Airport and lodging locations within Bozeman, subject to availability and confirmed reservation details.

• Delivery times are agreed in advance for each reservation
• Airport delivery is handoff at an agreed pickup location and is subject to airport rules and availability. Northbound Car Rentals is not located inside or affiliated with the airport.
• Return details, including time and location, are confirmed with your reservation

Reservations and payment

• Reservations are made directly through this website
• The full rental total is shown before payment
• A reservation is confirmed only after payment is verified
• Any security deposit or authorization hold is disclosed before you pay

Cancellations and refunds

• Cancellation requests are made by phone or email using your reservation number
• Refunds are issued to the original payment method through Stripe
• The time for refunded funds to appear depends on your bank or card issuer and is outside our control
• Any nonrefundable charges are disclosed before payment

Vehicle use

• No smoking or vaping in any vehicle
• Vehicles are returned in the condition in which they were delivered, ordinary wear excepted
• Off-road use, racing and towing are not permitted unless agreed in writing
• Traffic citations, tolls and parking fines are the renter's responsibility
