Information we collect

We collect only the information needed to operate our rental business:

• Reservation and availability request details, including dates and vehicle selected
• Your name, email address and telephone number
• Delivery location information
• Customer communications with us
• Direct booking records and rental agreements
• Payment confirmations received from our payment processor
• Fraud-prevention and website-security logs
• Essential cookies, server and hosting logs
• Account information, if you create a staff account

Payments and Stripe

Northbound Car Rentals uses Stripe to securely process payments, refunds, payment authorizations and certain fraud-prevention activities. When you enter payment information, that information is transmitted directly to Stripe or collected through Stripe's secure payment technology. Northbound Car Rentals does not receive or store your complete payment-card number or security code. Stripe may collect and process personal information in accordance with its own privacy policy and applicable legal obligations.

Information shared with Stripe may include:

• Customer name, email address and telephone number
• Billing information and transaction amount
• Reservation reference
• Device, browser and IP address information
• Fraud-prevention information and other data required to complete or secure a transaction

Service providers

We use a hosting provider and a database and authentication provider (Supabase) to run this website and store reservation records, and Stripe to process payments. We do not currently use analytics platforms, advertising pixels, session-recording software or email-marketing trackers. If any of those are added later, this policy and our cookie disclosures will be updated first.

How we use information

• To create, confirm and manage your reservation
• To arrange vehicle delivery and return
• To communicate with you about your rental
• To process payments, deposits and refunds
• To prevent fraud and protect our vehicles and customers
• To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations

We do not sell personal information.

Retention

We keep reservation, payment and rental-agreement records only as long as reasonably necessary for booking management, accounting, fraud prevention, dispute handling and legal compliance.

Your choices and requests
